In "School-Live!", Yuki Takeya and the other members of the School Living Club treat Megurigaoka Private High School as their true home. Their primary goal is to live on campus around the clock, promoting self-reliance and taking part in a wide range of school activities. With Yuuri Wakasa's calm demeanor, Kurumi Ebisuzawa's reliability, Yuki Takeya's proactive attitude, and the support of their teacher Megumi Sakura, the club appears to be set up for success in theory. However, living at school brings its own set of difficulties. To graduate and move forward, the School Living Club must overcome daily challenges while making the most of their student life.

Background

Gakkougurashi! was nominated for the Seiun Award in the Best Comic Category in 2021. The English release of the first three volumes were placed on the Young Adult Library Services Association's 2017 Great Graphic Novels for Teens list; the fourth and fifth volumes were included in the 2018 list. The series was published in English as School-Live! by Yen Press from November 17, 2015, to August 25, 2020. The manga has also been published in Italian by Goen since November 12, 2021; and in Polish by Waneko from March 10, 2016, to April 27, 2020. A Japanese live-action film adaptation based on the series was released on January 25, 2019.
