After hearing live rock music for the first time, Fujiwara Motomu—who goes by Fuji Cue—found himself desperately wanting to join the scene. He ran into a member of the band "Blue Bears" at a convenience store and begged to become part of the group. The band member challenged him to earn the top spot at the Japan Academy of Music (J.A.M.) before he could join. Motivated, Fuji Cue began practicing guitar immediately and surprisingly passed the J.A.M. entrance exam. At orientation, he learned that he would be paired with someone for a live show at the Welcome Convention. His partner turned out to be Hoshikawa Uta, an incredibly gifted singer who is painfully shy and has trouble performing on stage. Can this mismatched pair pull off a successful concert, and will Fuji Cue eventually reach his dream of being the best?
