In "Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala," a pair of living stuffed dinosaurs are given to nine-year-old Miho Shinohara by a mysterious stranger. These companions provide her with a magical sketchbook and pen that allow her to bring her drawings to life, with varying degrees of command over them. Miho also gains the power to transform into a teenage version of herself known as Fancy Lala. After being discovered by Yumi Haneishi, the head of Lyrical Productions talent agency, Miho embarks on a journey toward stardom. The series also features standalone chapters including "Volume 1: From Toy Country" and "Volume 2: Jungle Princess, Leave It to Kikki, Comecome Circus."
