Illyasviel von Einzbern has spent a month as a magical girl with the wand Ruby, juggling her daily life as a student and a protector. While walking to school alongside Miyu Edelfelt, they get a call from Rin Toosaka. Rin explains that after the magic card incident, the Earth's pulse has grown unstable. In an attempt to stabilize it with magical energy, Rin triggers an unexpected summoning, resulting in a woman who looks exactly like Illya. The next day, Illyasviel is attacked by this black-clad double. Even after transforming into Prisma Illya, she is overpowered by the doppelgänger's immense strength and barely manages to repel the assault. Confused and uncertain, Illya wonders who this aggressive copy is and how she can defeat an enemy that shares her powers and appearance.
