In a near-future world, elementary school student Suzuhara Sorata is abruptly carried from the Heisei Era to an unfamiliar period reminiscent of the Meiji or Taishou eras, triggered by a mysterious song that creates a temporal displacement. After arriving, Sorata encounters three girls and nine boys, and all of them set out on a voyage aboard the mysterious Norn, a massive floating sphere hovering in the sky.
