Retirement approaches for sixty-five-year-old salaryman Etsuki Tomokazu. One day he comes home to a startling announcement from his wife Yuko, who is nearly seventy: "I'm pregnant!" The two are initially thrown into chaos, but soon they start to regard the news as a blessing and wholeheartedly look forward to what lies ahead. As first-time parents, they make mistakes and flip-flop on everything during antenatal classes with the other couples.
