Dokaben, a baseball manga created by Shinji Mizushima, originally ran in Weekly Shōnen Champion and later received an anime adaptation. It achieved immense popularity throughout Japan and is widely regarded as one of the most cherished sports manga, likely second only to Takehiko Inoue's Slam Dunk. The word "dokaben" refers to a specific type of bento box that the main character, Taro Yamada, particularly enjoys.
