In a traditional sandal shop run by the easygoing and eccentric middle-aged man Takigawa Tetsuya, the only person who ever annoyed him was his part-time worker, Kudou Rui. After Rui got caught in a brawl with some thugs, Tetsuya stepped in to help him out. Out of gratitude, Rui began working at Tetsuya's shop. Despite his laid-back attitude, Tetsuya fought against the urge to take advantage of the angelic Rui, until he eventually gave in one day.
