Chairudo are individuals who retain a childlike appearance even into adulthood, each possessing a unique supernatural ability. For instance, some are known as "firestarters." The protagonist, Hinagata Heiji, initially seems like a failure, but appearances are misleading. His extraordinary power allows him to animate any inanimate object by bringing it into contact with his blood. He travels from place to place, occasionally enrolling in schools since he looks like a child. However, every chairudo has their own territory, and conflicts frequently arise between them, particularly over women.
