A Japanese youth with aspirations of joining the police force arrived one day at a remote border town in the interior of Brazil. In truth, the young man had been sent there by "JJ," an organization operating outside the law that aids Japanese people in distress overseas. Ten agents, all dispatched in secret by JJ, share no knowledge of one another's names or appearances—their sole link being a shared emblem they each carry.
