The story centers on Duke Fleed, prince of Planet Fleed, who conceals his true identity as farmhand Daisuke while opposing the Vegan Empire—the invaders who destroyed his world and the very ones who built Grendizer, the mecha Duke stole to fight back against them. This manga adaptation of the anime was created by Yuu Okazaki at the time, and it was only in 2012 that the work was republished in a different format.
