Space Opera Chuugaku

Nagai created an ecchi parody of Star Wars, with one of the main characters being a gender-swapped, scantily clad parody of Luke Skywalker named Ryuko Skywalker. This work is considered Nagai's second attempt at Shameless School and sparked significant controversy with the Parent Teacher Association of Japan starting from its very first chapter. The series contained a great deal of suggestive and violent material, which resulted in it being serialized for only one year. Most physical editions of the manga are out of print, though they can still be easily obtained from digital retailers like ebookjapan. It debuted around the same period as Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura.
