Rewrite: Side-B is a manga adaptation based on Key's ninth visual novel. The story is set in the fictional Japanese city of Kazamatsuri, known for its thick forests and abundant greenery. The protagonist, Kotarou, belongs to his high school's occult research club and frequently gathers with his friends there. The narrative also regularly explores the city's forests and Kotarou's home outside of school. As the plot progresses, Kotarou discovers an alternate version of Kazamatsuri—a silent world characterized by an unchanging gray sky.
