In "17-sai °C," the protagonist becomes deeply infatuated with the alluring new transfer student, Natsuki. He keeps his feelings to himself while learning that Natsuki is a rebellious person who acts without restraint—able to break the arm of his bullying senpai, which lands them in the hospital, and also responsible for smashing his bass guitar. Despite these events, he continues to pursue her and discovers that she has a gentle nature, even though she remains guarded. Her defensiveness comes from her arranged marriage scheduled after graduation, which also explains why she faces little punishment despite causing trouble at school. As his attachment to her grows, it seems that Natsuki might share his feelings. Nevertheless, their relationship is threatened by her upcoming marriage and by the same senpai, who develops a romantic interest in Natsuki after hearing her sing at a music shop.
