In Shanghai, China, Japanese photographer Oosawa Maria teams up with her colleague Mino to hunt for newsworthy events across the city. While attending a local festival, they encounter strange incidents and witness a clash between mysterious masked individuals and a white-haired woman. When Maria is put in peril, her old acquaintance Canaan arrives to rescue her. As a sinister conspiracy surrounding a lethal virus emerges, Canaan must face her own past in order to stop the antagonist and protect the people she holds dear.
