The story of "Kamisama Kazoku" centers on Samatarou Kamiyama, a divine being who lives alongside humans with his family in order to learn about humanity as part of his training to eventually succeed his father. With his lifelong guardian angel Tenko watching over him, Samatarou begins to develop romantic feelings for Kumiko Komori, a new transfer student at their school. Determined to earn her affection through his own efforts rather than relying on his divine powers, he sets out to prove himself. Meanwhile, Tenko harbors a secret crush on Samatarou, unaware that his heart belongs to Kumiko.
