Oedo Okusuri Ryourijou

お江戸おくすり料理帖

Hinageshi, a fifteen-year-old girl, operates the eatery Ajisaiya in Fukagawa, Edo, during the Genroku period (1688–1704). With her partner Aragami, the endlessly scolding god of the kamado hearth, she strives to honor the legacy of her late parents: to "create dishes that bring joy to others." Yet she worries that her rundown, shabby shop drives customers away, and it teeters on the edge of collapse. However, a request from Izutsu, her sole regular patron and a local commoner, sparks a series of events where various troubles and conflicts are mended through "okusuri" dishes—medicines that restore the mind and body. And so an oedo gourmet tale unfolds, filled with healing, food, and compassion.
