In the year 981 on the Arad continent, following the appearance of the "cursed light of Kazan," this curse causes one of Baron's arms to be overtaken. After discovering a sword that contains the spirit Roxy, Baron sets out on a journey to uncover the secret behind the curse. Along the way, he meets various individuals who eventually become members of his party.
