Tohko and Wataru were childhood friends, with Tohko often protecting the timid Wataru from bullies. But when Wataru's family moved to Germany, they lost contact. Years later, Wataru returns to Japan alone to begin high school, while Tohko is already a second-year student. The returnee is hardly recognizable; he has become extremely tall and developed an overbearing personality. Tohko often gets ordered around by Wataru, even having to cook for him every day, and she is unsure how to deal with this side of him. What once seemed like an angelic figure now feels more like a demon to Tohko.
