In "Ayakashi," a parasitic creature grants its host incredible abilities, but at the expense of their life force. Yu Kusaka, a student who had lost all hope after the death of a childhood friend, finds his life turned upside down when he meets a mysterious girl named Eim Yoake. After that moment, everything changes for him. When Yu becomes a target of Ayakashi and those who host them, the being dwelling inside him stirs, igniting a never-ending conflict.
