Satomi Azusa is a teenage gravure idol who also happens to be an extraordinarily talented baseball player, but she is barred from joining her school's team because of her gender. Her father, the team's coach, devises a scheme to let her play. The plan relies on Hirayama Keita, Azusa's childhood friend, who has no baseball skill but looks remarkably like her. By wearing a wig and girls' clothes, Keita can convincingly pose as Azusa, even fooling their own parents. To help fulfill Azusa's and her father's dreams, Keita agrees to substitute for her during games. As "Hirayama Keita," he becomes popular and edges closer to going professional. But how long can the ruse hold, and what will happen when the truth inevitably comes to light? Note that the first three chapters were collected in Short Program 3.
