Drawing on Akira Kurosawa's classic film along with its anime adaptation, a small farming community suffers constant raids from bandits who steal their harvest each season. Facing starvation, the villagers send out a call for samurai to defend them. With only rice to offer as payment, they understand that only those desperate enough will answer. They pray their protectors arrive before the next harvest gets stolen.
