Kane Blueriver operates alongside his artificial intelligence companion Canal as trouble contractors, taking on assignments that span from providing security to capturing fugitives. They are joined by Milly, a private investigator who strives to be number one in the universe (uchuu ichi!!). Together, they become caught up in a chain of problems that pulls them further into a mystery linking the enigmatic Lost Ships to their own personal histories. The more they investigate, the closer they get to exposing a truth that the entity known as Nightmare is desperate to keep concealed.
