In her first year at Houjou Academy, fifteen-year-old Yuzuru takes on a summer job and crosses paths with Renge Kai, a wealthy troublemaker from the same school. Kai belongs to the exclusive Kugeka class, a group set aside for the institution's richest students. Once summer break ends, Yuzuru discovers she has been appointed as Kai's "Honey"—a role in which regular-class students assist Kugeka members to ensure their trouble-free school life. The reward for serving as a Honey is that all tuition fees are covered. Although her family is struggling financially, Yuzuru turns down the position of Kai's Honey. However, the only way to escape this assignment is to leave the academy entirely. Will she choose to remain or depart?
