Shi wo Utau Seiza This collection includes four one-shot stories, with the last three forming a series titled "Kiri to Honoo to Satsujin to." Shi wo Utau Seiza (Constellation that Sings Death) Takano Mahiro arrives at a mountain vacation lodge where she will be working over the summer. She meets the owner and her niece, both of whom seem friendly. The guests appear normal enough, except for one girl who insists a ghost is haunting the place. Furimukeba Kiri (When the Fog Comes) Legend says that if you visit a graveyard in the fog, you might glimpse the spirits of the dead. In a foggy cemetery, Tracey sees someone who looks like her boyfriend, Fred, but at least five years older. Could it be Fred’s deceased older brother? Honoo no Senritsu (Fire Starter) Since childhood, Sugihara Shouko has possessed a strange ability to spontaneously ignite objects. Unable to control it properly, she has accidentally hurt many people. To avoid causing further harm, she keeps everyone at a distance. Toki no Yakata (The Castle) For weeks, Yukari has been tormented by the same nightmare: she is killed by a woman wielding a bloody knife in an unfamiliar building. Her parents send her to her uncle’s house for a fresh start, but there she discovers the very castle from her dream, shimmering eerily in the fog.
