Urban legends have materialized as real-world events called "Folklore." The Thompson Agency works to locate and contain these entities, reducing their threat to people. Agents Emma and Yuliya are posted to a quiet rural branch. While Folklore commits terrible acts in Tokyo, the duo cleans cellars and fixes toilets for locals. But Folklore inevitably appears wherever people gather. Myths, gossip, and fairy tales seep into the public consciousness, then evolve into fears that take shape on the streets, in the darkness, and around every corner. When a factory owner asks the Thompson Agency to look into a strange incident, he thinks his employees are just being superstitious. Yet Emma and Yuliya find that something dangerous may have arrived to recover in their peaceful town—and its weakness won't last long...
