Suisei no Gargantia

In a far-off region of the galaxy, the Galactic Alliance battles for survival against the Hidiaazu, a fearsome alien race. During a fierce skirmish, Lieutenant Ledo and his humanoid mecha, Chamber, are swept into a spatial anomaly and sent to an unknown location. When he wakes from hibernation, Ledo discovers he has crash-landed on Earth, now flooded entirely by immense oceans. The survivors dwell on enormous floating fleets, scavenging relics from the seabed to sustain themselves. Ledo joins one of these fleets, Gargantia, where he becomes acquainted with Amy, a 15-year-old messenger. After spending his entire life immersed in combat, he finds it hard to adapt to a state of peace and is continually astonished by this unfamiliar lifestyle.
