In a world where souls can be turned into weapons, modern sorcerers known as Mage-Knights thrive. Kurogane Ikki, a student at a school for these knights, struggles due to his weak magical abilities and is branded the "Failure Knight" or "Worst One," causing him to repeat the academic year. A new headmaster institutes a rule requiring knights with compatible abilities to live and train together throughout their school years in order to improve their skills, essentially linking their fates through an inflexible evaluation of their talents. Ikki is paired with Stella Vermillion, a princess and an exceptional Rank A knight—a rare prodigy born only once every decade. After a mischievous incident involving Stella changing clothes, a major misunderstanding sparks a duel between them, with the loser bound to serve the victor forever. Forced to share a room and practice magic together for their entire schooling, how will the relationship between Stella and Ikki develop?
