Shinsaku and his sibling were taken in as orphans by Lord Yoshimoto. Their homeland is caught in a bitter conflict over a mysterious and valuable resource known as "Kamui—the stone." In each kingdom, some people are born with a divine symbol that grants them extraordinary powers. Though they do not carry such a mark, the brothers are determined to aid Lord Yoshimoto's forces in battle. Yet the endless wars between the nations rage on without mercy, and Shinsaku is deeply troubled by the constant violence and bloodshed.
