Fushigi Ryokouki

The story follows a man taken from his body prematurely, forcing him to move from one body to another until he discovers a permanent one to settle in. Based on the 1941 film "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" (later remade as "Heaven Can Wait"), the manga begins with Tezuka constructing a movie set based on the original film to stage the action, then letting his characters run freely.
