Mangaka-san to Messhi to Asshi

Iimi, an in-demand assistant who is constantly being called to one project after another, suddenly receives an offer to help Retsuto, a hugely popular manga artist. He heads over excitedly, only to be greeted by none other than Ashida—a former classmate he had a falling out with back in high school...!? Despite the awkwardness, the two end up working together as fellow assistants. Ashida is blunt, but surprisingly, he seems to genuinely appreciate Iimi's work. As they face tight deadlines side by side, Iimi gradually finds that being next to Ashida feels more and more comfortable...!? Includes one extra chapter.
