Erika Shinohara is convinced that the first two months of high school determine the course of one's entire social life. Acting on this belief, she becomes close friends with Marin Tachibana and Aki Tezuka, who often talk about their romantic relationships. Since Erika doesn't have a boyfriend, she invents one to keep up with her friends' conversations. Her lie grows when she snaps a candid photo of an attractive stranger on the street, intending to claim he is her significant other. Her scheme collapses when Marin and Aki recognize the man in the picture as Kyouya Sata, a well-known student. Afraid of being exposed, Erika goes to Kyouya and explains her predicament. At first, Kyouya seems understanding, but he soon demands that she act like a dog. Realizing she has made a serious mistake, Erika nonetheless decides to continue the pretense to protect her social status. As she navigates this awkward agreement, will Erika find a way to escape her fabricated situation, or could she start seeing Kyouya in a different light?
