In this world, there exist people known as "Minimum Holders," who possess the power to enact specific "small miracles." A prestigious academy backed by the government trains these Minimum Holders to refine their abilities and serve national interests. Nice, a student with outstanding potential, left the academy. He now operates a private investigation agency with his assistant, Hajime, and seems content handling cases that frequently involve Minimum Holders. Murasaki, a top student at the academy, is tasked with bringing Nice back. Though he feels offended by the idea that Nice has greater potential than himself, Murasaki becomes drawn into Nice's investigative work.

Background

Hamatora, short for "Yokohama Troubleshooter," is a mixed-media project which was inspired by superhero comics from Marvel and DC. The project began with a manga series, which was followed by a TV anime series. The franchise also contains a stage play, a novel, and a video game adaptation for the Nintendo 3DS.
