The story of "Gift: Under the Rainbow" centers on high schooler Haruhiko Amami and his link to the strange events of Narasakicho. This town is marked by an ever-present rainbow in the sky and a unique ability called Gift—every resident can use it once to perform a single miraculous deed. For the Gift to work as intended, the feelings between the one who gives and the one who receives must be in harmony; if not, the Gift can become harmful, leaving a dark mark across the rainbow until it is properly used. The narrative starts when Haruhiko's long-lost younger sister, Riko Fukimine, comes back home, triggering a chain of events that stir up past emotions and change Haruhiko's life.
