Gekijouban NARUTO: Shippuuden

In this film, evil spirits that nearly destroyed the world long ago have been resurrected by an unknown force. To prevent global catastrophe, the demon must be sealed, a task that only the shrine maiden Shion from the demon country can accomplish thanks to her unique abilities: sealing demons and foretelling human deaths. Naruto is assigned to protect Shion, who predicts his own death. The only way to avoid this fate is for him to abandon her, leaving her vulnerable to the demon that seeks to kill her, which would ultimately lead to the world's end. Naruto chooses to defy this "death prophecy," but his attempts to prove Shion's prediction wrong fail, leading to his apparent death without achieving his goal.
