Baoh Raihousha

In the story "Baoh," a nine-year-old clairvoyant named Sumire is being taken by the secretive Doress organization to their facility. While on the train, she breaks free and inadvertently frees Ikurou Hashizawa, a seventeen-year-old who has been implanted with the potent Baoh parasite. Now possessing powers such as near-invulnerability and rapid healing, Ikurou teams up with Sumire to flee together. Yet their ordeal has only started. Since Ikurou's transformation remains unfinished, Doress considers him a major danger and orders his death. As they dodge unrelenting assassins, the pair must also come to terms with Ikurou's developing abilities.

Baoh Raihousha was published in English as Baoh by VIZ Media, first as part of the VIZ Select Comics, with eight issues from December 1989 to July 1990, and later in tankoubon format on August 31, 1995.
