Juushin Enbu: HERO TALES

In "HERO TALES," Taitou Shirei, a brave young man, often attacks corrupt Imperial Army soldiers to provide for his village. For his coming-of-age ceremony, his clan invites the monk Ryuukou Mouten to officiate. After a conflict with Ryuukou, Taitou finishes the ritual and receives the legendary sword, Kenkaranbu. Later that night, a sinister sorcerer named Shimei appears, aiming to steal the Kenkaranbu. Shimei reveals the story of the Hokushin-Tenkun, seven warriors whose abilities mirror the Big Dipper stars. He identifies Taitou as Hagun, one of the pair considered the strongest among the Hokushin-Tenkun, fated to cause global chaos. Threatening Taitou’s sister, Laila Seiren, pushes Taitou into a rage, fueled by the power of his star. But Laila manages to calm him, though Shimei escapes with the sword amid the confusion. So Taitou, together with Ryuukou and Laila, sets out to reclaim the Kenkaranbu and discover the true meaning of wielding a Hokushin-Tenkun's power.

Juushin Enbu was published in English by Yen Press as Hero Tales from October 27, 2009, to October 25, 2011. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by Editora JBC from March 2012 to July 2012.
