Omokage wo Motomete

At the onset of the social season, seventeen-year-old Emma travels to London, burdened by her family's insistence that she secure a wealthy husband. During the festivities, a remarkably attractive man with curly black hair and bright blue eyes draws her gaze. Enchanted, Emma experiences her first kiss with him. Twelve years later, now a widow, Emma visits the estate of the Earl of Greyston to arrange the marriage between her stepdaughter and the Earl's younger brother. The Earl himself is absent from the property. While there, Emma is shocked to recognize the face of the man she once kissed, depicted in a portrait on the wall.
