Ribbon no Kishi

In a medieval fantasy kingdom, the story of "Princess Knight" follows young Princess Sapphire, who disguises herself as a male prince in order to inherit the throne—since women are not permitted to rule. This deception begins immediately after her birth, when her father, the King, announces that his newborn is a son rather than a daughter. His reason is to prevent Duke Duralumon, a cruel and tyrannical nobleman who is next in line for the crown, from seizing power and oppressing the realm.
