Melody of Oblivion

In the 20th century, a massive war erupted between humans and monsters, with the monsters ultimately gaining control of the world through fear, though they mostly stay out of sight. A boy named Bokka reflects on this history and wonders what became of the Meros Warriors, who once battled demons relentlessly. He encounters Kurofune, who introduces him to the Meros' strength and their I-bar machines used in combat. It becomes clear that only warriors can hear the Melody of Oblivion—a hidden spectral girl waiting to be rescued and destined to save mankind. During a clash between Kurofune and a demon, Bokka uncovers an astonishing fact: he too can perceive the melody. As he travels onward, Bokka confronts various monsters and their servants, while building bonds with allies and friends. He gains deeper insight into his emerging abilities and persists in fighting evil to free Boukyaku no Senritsu and restore a world that has lost its once peaceful past.
