Fulcanelli, a legendary engineer and alchemist referred to as an "Enchanter," has the rare gift of weaving magic into his creations. After his death, he was resurrected as a demonic being and now journeys alongside his demonic companion, Eukanaria. For reasons unknown, Fulcanelli requires a new vessel to inhabit. As they look for a suitable body, Eukanaria defends the pendant containing his soul from various demonic foes seeking to claim his immense power. In the present day, Haruhiko Kanou is an ordinary boy skilled with machinery and harbors a secret infatuation with his science teacher and neighbor, Yuki Fujiwara. Unaware that he bears a striking resemblance to Fulcanelli, Haruhiko becomes the focus of Eukanaria’s quest for a new host.

Background

The first ten volumes of Enchanter were published in English by Digital Manga Publishing from July 4, 2006 to March 19, 2009, before the series was dropped.
