In an age when ninja were feared as demigods with unmatched fighting abilities ruling over Japan, some chose the forbidden act of hara-kiri, entrusting their souls to Kinkaku Temple for a future rebirth. Their history was hidden, and the real story of these ninja faded into legend. Fast forward to a period where cybernetic enhancements and electronic networks dominate. The evil spirits of ancient ninja reemerge and infiltrate the dark corners of Neo-Saitama. Fujikido Kenji, once an ordinary office worker, witnesses his family destroyed in a ninja conflict and barely survives, only to be possessed by a mysterious ninja spirit. Revived as Ninja Slayer, he sets out on a vengeful mission against evil ninja, fighting relentless battles in the grim underworld of Neo-Saitama.
