STAR WARS: Phantom Menace

A dark threat looms over a distant galaxy, endangering the cosmic equilibrium. The greedy Trade Federation has placed a blockade around the Republic planet of Naboo, citing excessive trade tariffs imposed by the Galactic Republic as their reason. To resolve this crisis, the Supreme Chancellor dispatches Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi as mediators. Their mission is interrupted when the Federation attacks the Jedi and launches an invasion of Naboo. Despite the assault, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan survive and rescue the planet's captive leader, Padmé Amidala. Intending to bring her to the Republic for aid, their ship is damaged during their escape, forcing them to land on the barren desert world of Tatooine. To repair their vessel, they seek help from Anakin Skywalker, a young boy whose remarkable abilities Qui-Gon perceives, marking the beginning of his legendary path.

Star Wars: Phantom Menace is an adaptation of the 1999 American film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The series was published in English as Star Wars: Episode I -The Phantom Menace by Dark Horse Comics in 2 volumes from December 22, 1999 to January 19, 2000. It was also published in Brazilian Portuguese by Editora JBC in December 2002.
