Haight and Andrews are both accomplished engineers at a company on the verge of a nanotechnology breakthrough that will reshape history. When Haight discovers and develops a new technology meant to improve lives and cure diseases, Andrews intends to weaponize it for military purposes. Aware of this, Haight resigns from the company, taking all documents and research related to his discovery. Enraged, Andrews sets a trap for Haight, and along with his five deranged accomplices, they brutally torture Haight and murder his loved ones. To compound his suffering, they sever both his arms and leave him for dead. However, Haight is rescued by a mysterious doctor and his assistant. The two men are experimenting with the strange power of "The Zetsmos"—the ability to control the ghost within the body while still alive. Reports of amputees confirm they can still "feel and move" their missing limbs, but with the natural power of the Zetsmos, the body can assimilate any material—wood, paper, water, metal—and use it to recreate the lost limb. Awakening the Zetsmos is a painful and dangerous process; the bearer must teeter between life and death to activate it. But Haight will stop at nothing to hunt down those who turned his life into a living nightmare, and he is determined to wield this mysterious power to carry out his revenge.
