In "C³," high school student Yachi Haruaki possesses a natural immunity to curses and receives cursed items called "Worse" from his father, Honatsu, which he is tasked with neutralizing. One day, Haruaki receives a black cube from his father. That same night, he encounters a naked silver-haired girl stealing rice crackers; she is revealed to be the human form of the black cube, a torture device named "Fear in Cube." Haruaki and the girl, who calls herself Fear, join forces to combat other Worse devices and their users, employing Fear's thirty-two torture methods in their battles.
