After failing his entrance examination, Shumpei scopes out the entrance ceremony at Waseda University and makes up his mind to dedicate the following year to studying for admission. As he is leaving the campus, Momoko, a spirited freshman, suddenly drags him into helping her sell campus maps to fellow freshmen against his will. Although irritated by her overbearing persistence, Shumpei eventually befriends Momoko; however, her doctor-boyfriend and his hang-ups about his former high school sweetheart keep the two from getting any closer. It received the 7th Kodansha Manga Award for general manga in 1983.
