Eight years after the events of Macross F, a strange affliction called the Var Syndrome is spreading across the galaxy. To counter this crisis, a new team of top-tier Valkyrie pilots is formed. The situation becomes more complex when the Aerial Knights, a Valkyrie unit from the Kingdom of Wind, appear to challenge the Delta Squadron.
