Ai Shizukuishi discovers her true means of expression in the world of online dance. Reserved and withdrawn at school, she uses the alias “Ai” as a well-known dancer to let herself be free. Her primary ambition is to surpass Hayate, a famous and easygoing dancer. As Ai’s popularity online increases, she draws the attention of Hayate, and a talent agency recruits them both to form a boy band called “Buddyz.” Yet Hayate has no idea that his bandmate is actually a girl. If he ever finds out, the group will be forced to disband. Making things more complicated, Hayate has romantic feelings for Ai in her real female form. Balancing the challenge of hiding her gender and pushing beyond her comfort zone through dance, Ai works tirelessly to match Hayate’s skill level. At the same time, Buddyz must face fierce rivals on their path to becoming the number one idol group.
