Utsuro is a mysterious creature that feeds on "nectar," a bioenergy found only in young girls. Iruka Natsumi, a member of Hyakkaen—an organization that fights Utsuro day and night—lives in constant fear of being devoured. One day, a girl named Sagara Asuka appears before her. Asuka declares, "I will defeat every Utsuro in this world with my own hands," and tells Natsumi they will live together until she turns 19, when the nectar in her body vanishes. Asuka displays overwhelming power in battles against Utsuro, but she harbors a secret.
