Akane Tachibana, a naturally talented freshman in high school basketball, chooses to avoid the stress that comes with joining sports clubs. That decision changes when he crosses paths with a player from Kouzu High who once left a deep impression on him during a game. This encounter motivates Akane to join the basketball team. Their first game of the season is an exhibition match against the powerful Hyamazaki, which is led by Hiiragi’s father and includes Hiiragi’s older sibling. Though Akane and Hiiragi struggle to work together, especially in the second half, an unexpected challenge from a senior teammate forces them to cooperate, leading the team to a comeback victory. The story follows these young athletes as they aim to reach the top of their sport.
